About
About The Cookie Book
The Cookie Book is a free, independent companion site for Cookie Run: Kingdom — a Cookie-Dex, a team builder, tier lists, topping and treasure references, live event and patch coverage, and a place for players to publish the teams and guides that actually work. It is built and run by one person, and it is not affiliated with Devsisters.
Why this site exists
Cookie Run: Kingdom asks you to make decisions it gives you very little information to make. Which five cookies go together, which toppings go on them, which treasures to bring, which of two upgrades is worth the resources you have saved for a month — the game shows you numbers, but almost never the comparison you actually need.
The answers have always existed, scattered across wikis, spreadsheets, YouTube thumbnails, Discord pins and screenshots of somebody's arena run. That works if you already know where to look. It is close to useless when you have just unlocked a cookie and want to know, in under a minute, whether it belongs on your team.
So The Cookie Book puts the reference material and the tools in the same place, and makes the community's answers first-class: a team you build here can be published, given a permanent page, and found by the next person with the same question.
Who builds it
The Cookie Book is designed, built, written and maintained by Ayden Beasley. Every tool, every page and every line of code on this site is the work of one person — there is no team, no publisher and no agency behind it.
My name is Ayden Beasley, and I'm the developer of The Cookie Book. Two and a half years ago my oldest son — after many failed attempts — finally convinced me to try some mobile game called “Cookie Run: Kingdom,” and I guess the rest is history. I fell in love with it. The combination of kingdom building and “city-sim,” the RPG and team-building elements, and the art style and design were all pulled together into what felt like the perfect package.
For employment, I build web-based and 3D projects to support aseptic manufacturing of biologics and other medicines in the pharmaceutical industry. The Cookie Book was my first personal project where I tried to leverage skill sets I learned through work to build something I love and enjoy. I hope you enjoy it too.
If you want to reach me — about a mistake on the site, a feature, a data request, or anything else — the contact page has every way to do it, and I read all of it myself.
What's on the site
Everything below is free, works without an account, and needs no download. An account is only ever needed to save your own work or publish something for other players.
- Cookie-Dex Every cookie in the game, with skills, stats, toppings and a page of its own. Track what you own and how far you have levelled it.
- Team Builder Build a team with toppings, treasures, beascuits and a leader, then export it as an image or publish it to the mode it is for.
- Cookie Tier List Where every cookie lands right now, filterable by element, type, rarity and position, with each cookie's build and a note on how the list is made.
- Toppings and Resonance What each topping set does, and a resonant tool that works out which combinations are worth chasing.
- Treasure Tier List Every treasure with its real in-game effect text, cooldowns and charge times, ranked for where it is actually used.
- Status Effect Library What every buff and debuff in the game does, and exactly which cookies apply it.
- In-Game Events What is running right now, what is coming, and community teams for the mode each event is built around.
- Updates and Patch Notes Every official update notice, mirrored in full and kept readable, with screenshots in the order they were published.
- Kingdom Codes Working coupon codes, checked automatically every day, with the expired ones moved out of your way.
- Community Guides Guides written by players, with a proper editor behind them rather than a comment box.
- Game Mode Hubs Arena, Guild Boss, Cookie Alliance, Story, Trial Grounds, Cake Towers and the Nether Realm, each with the teams players have published for it.
- Roadmap What is being built next, what shipped recently, and where to tell me I have got something wrong.
Where the information comes from
A companion site is only worth using if its numbers are right, so it is worth being specific about where they come from.
- Straight from the game. Treasure effects, status effect behaviour, game mode rules and season details are transcribed from in-game screens — for treasures, from the "Treasure Details" screen at max level rather than from a secondhand summary.
- Official update notices. Patch notes and event details are taken from Devsisters' own announcements and mirrored in full, so you can read what was actually said rather than a paraphrase of it.
- Community wikis, checked. Some cookie ability text and profile facts start from the community-run Cookie Run Wiki. Those snapshots are re-checked automatically every week against what the site holds, and anywhere the site's wording deliberately differs, that difference is recorded rather than left to drift.
- Judgement, labelled as judgement. Tier placements and recommended builds are opinions — mine, and the community's. They are presented as rankings with reasoning, never as facts the game stated.
- Players. Published teams and guides are written by the people who use the site. They are moderated, but they are theirs, and they are credited to them.
The game changes constantly, and some of this will be out of date the week a balance patch lands. If you find something wrong, telling me is genuinely useful — the contact page is the fastest route, and corrections get priority over everything else.
How a free site pays for itself
Hosting, the database, the domain and the tooling all cost money, and the site has never charged for anything. Three things cover it: advertising, optional contributions, and me.
- Advertising. The site carries ads, served by Google and other third-party ad vendors rather than by me. That comes with cookies, and the advertising section of the privacy policy explains exactly what they collect and how to turn the personalised part off.
- Optional support. Some readers chip in through the support page. Nothing on the site is locked behind it, and supporters get no advantage of any kind.
- Nothing is pay-to-win. No feature, tool, guide or ranking has ever been sold, and no cookie's placement is for sale.
What the site does with your own data — which is very little, and none of it sold by me — is set out in full in the privacy policy.
Not affiliated with Devsisters
The Cookie Book is a fan-made project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or associated with Devsisters Corp. Cookie Run: Kingdom, its cookies, artwork, names and all related imagery belong to their respective owners, and appear here as reference material for players of the game.
I cannot help with anything to do with your Cookie Run: Kingdom account — lost progress, purchases, bans or support tickets all have to go to Devsisters directly. If you are a rights holder and something here needs to come down, get in touch and I will act on it quickly.
